TWO MY1PC PROJECTS REALIZED!

It won’t take long before we are going to break the barrier of 300 realized projects! The realization of the Kwea Miti Initiative and the No Missing Periods Coz of Periods project are a good step in breaking this barrier. But these projects are not regular projects.. This because they are part of the MY1PC campaign. Within this campaign it is possible for the people in Kenya to support a project by sending a text message with their mobile phone.

The Kwea Miti Initiative takes care of restoring the forest cover in Mount Kenya National Park after the outbreak of bushfires. The support of 123 1%MEMBERS makes it possible that 7000 seeds can be purchased. This initiative should also help to raise awareness about the importance of forest cover by the locals and Kenyan government.

The support of 191 1%MEMBERS makes it possible that 200 school going girls will be supplied with re-usable sanitary towels in the No Missing Periods Coz of Periods project. This should keep the girls in school during their menses, educate the girls on hygiene and how to use the re-usable sanitary towels and boost the girls confidence.
