| About me / us: | S3C is a social venture aimed at implementing solar for electricity generation at rural schools in sub-Sahara Africa and in the surrounding communities. This way, they can learn better at school, an make their homework when being at home. This improves the education young children receive at school, so their perspectives get better. S3C is a cooperative effort together with amnongst others University of Technology Delft, dept Electrical Sustainable Energy, Edukans, ICCO and Greenchoice. We invest in the setup of local solar companies run by locally trained solar engineers. We aspire to raise 10 solar academies for this in the next 5 years. This way, S3C can develop roots in the local communties and not only implement new solar devices but also maintain them for a long time. Also we contribute to new economic opportunities and create new employment options. |
